Scene: Boy and Girl are sitting in living room playing a very intense game of Smash Brothers. Boy looks up and suddenly asks what was going on with the room. Girl, still very much into the intense game of Smash Brothers looks up hesitatingly. She instantly notices copious amounts of smoke. The controller falls from her hands. Her eyes quickly move from ceiling to fireplace; trying to locate where the smoke is coming from. Meanwhile Boy is going through the same process. Together they discover where the smoke is coming from and give a shout! It isn’t coming from the fireplace, but a Box next to the fireplace. Oh the horror! Girl feels very afraid, Boy is just dumbfounded. Girl jumps up, as does Boy. They rush over to Box. As if taunting them it immediately catches flame! Girl screams, Boy is calm but frantically tries to bang out the fire. This only fuels the fires animosity for them and it soon spreads from Broom to Box, from Box to Paper! Girl screams some more and grabs Broom and slams it down on the bricks in an effort to extinguish its fire! Girl continues to scream and laugh, for this is all very exciting. However, her tactic is not working! Girl yells for Boy to open the door so that Brooms’ flame can be quenched by the outside rain. I think Girl screams some more, but laughs as well mind you. Boy is preoccupied with flaming Box, he cannot assist her! Girl quickly realizes this and rushes to the door with flaming Broom in hand. She thrusts open the door and plunges Broom into a puddle. The fire sizzles with anger as it is put out! Meanwhile Boy has taken Girls advice and thrown fiery Box to its rightful doom in the large fireplace. Girl rushes in once Broom is beaten and comes to Boy’s aide as they join forces to overcome flaming Paper! They quickly vanquish this foe as well. Girl laughs excitedly, Boy smiles proudly. They have saved the house and had quite an adventure along the way. After calming down a bit and chattering very excitedly they go back to their very intense game of Smash Brothers.

Um, good thing you guys were in the room. Any damage to the wall?
No, we are expert fire extinguishers!
Big Surprise!! There's always adventure around there isn't there??
Masterfully written, an excellent piece of work. Life is so much less fun when you have fire alarms in the house. Tell the kid I love him and I love you too!
